Lufthansa subsidiary would like to upgrade the business grade product. She plans to create an exclusive shuttle bus for her home base.
It is a service available so far only to Hon Circle customers of the Lufthansa group in Frankfurt and Munich, i.e. the absolute super frequent flyer. But according to Michael Trestel, CEO of Austrian Airlines, it will soon be available to all of the company’s business customers: exclusive shuttle buses between the departure terminal and the aircraft’s external locations at Vienna Airport.
In total, Vienna Airport has 105 aircraft parking lots, but only 36 of them have direct access to the terminal. Therefore, the majority of passengers are transported by bus to and from parked aircraft. The company is now considering upgrading the offer for well-paid guests.
private transfer service
As Austrian Airlines confirmed in a statement to AeroTelegraph, it is evaluating whether it will offer a business transport service, which should be offered to passengers on Airbus A320 flights arriving in Vienna. If the Austrian board had its way, there should be a separate shuttle service for business class passengers in the future, which would carry passengers from an offsite location to the building.
According to Austria, it is not yet clear when this service will be introduced. The Swiss have known the service for a long time.
