Technologist Francesca Gretsch will miss the Alpine Ski World Cup races in Killington this weekend. As North Tyrolean announced on Instagram, she has not been vaccinated. Gritsch cannot enter the USA with it. The 24-year-old failed to qualify for the second round in Levi’s first slalom, and in the second competition in Finland she was eliminated from the first round.
“Life leads us to a crossroads where we have to choose. My decision is that I am not a restaurant at the moment. I think it is a very personal and personal decision and I want it to be accepted and respected too,” Gretsch wrote in a post.
Gretsch has completed 59 World Cup races in her career and has twice podiumed: in 2019 at the parallel slalom in St Moritz (third) and in 2020 at the Alpine Combi in Crans-Montana (second).
