Big Boxing Weekend for Saxony-Anhalt: On Saturday evening (admission from 6pm / MDR from 10.45pm) the SES Gala will take place on the lake platform in Magdeburg. In the spotlight: Roman Fris (28) and Adam Deans (31).
BUT: Dominic Bussell (32), head of the Magdeburg boxing team, has to enter the ring in the United States on Sunday morning (German time). In Ontario (California), Freyburger meets Mexico superstar Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez (30) in the light heavyweight category.

Bussell’s biggest fight was fought by German coaching legend Uli Wegener (80). The boxing expert says clearly: “Dominic is a blatant intruder. The grapes in America are very hanging. This is a real test. “
But Wegener sees a small opportunity from the outside. The reason: his former assistant George Bramovsky (61), who is now coaching Bussell as president.
Wegner: “George and I have together coached 98 matches at the World Championships. That’s what he looks like. He knows what he’s doing. The hiring question will be crucial for Dominic.”
But Ramirez is still a big candidate – also for Wegner: “I haven’t seen him for a long time. But the way he’s progressing tactically is very good.”
The Box Cracker will be broadcast on DAZN on Sundays from 2am. At about 4 a.m., Bussell entered the ring.
