Vacations in America are still possible. At least for those who have been vaccinated. US President Joe Biden (79) left the borders open, but tightened entry rules.
Biden said travelers will have to submit a negative coronavirus test no more than a day old before they leave for the United States. Previously it was possible to offer a test up to 72 hours old. The new measure applies to US citizens and foreigners alike — and regardless of their vaccination status.
Biden promotes vaccination
Unvaccinated foreigners are not allowed to enter the country, with a few exceptions. For travel within the USA, Biden will extend mask requirements that already apply to planes, trains and buses.
The president also wants to intensify efforts in the country to vaccinate people against the coronavirus and booster vaccination. “Get the booster now,” he urgently appealed to the president. (European Union)
