UNCHA reaffirms support for Palestinian cause Workers

Report on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of Palestinian Land Day

The United Nations Cuban Association (ACNU) commemorates Palestinian Earth Day every March 30th. Forty-five years ago, the Palestinian people called their first general strike in 1976 to demand their rights and against the systematic looting of their land by Israel.

On this occasion, the Palestinian people are celebrating the 45th anniversary of the events of 1976, when the Palestinian people launched their first general strike against the systematic looting of their lands by Israel.

The process of colonization and genocide of Palestinian land has not been stopped by the Israeli government. In a blatant violation of the relevant resolutions of the General Assembly and the United Nations Security Council, Israel has extended its illegal colonies to all occupied Palestinian territories, using all sorts of military and civil infrastructure, such as the terrible racist wall, and racist laws. Thousands of Palestinian families, including in East Jerusalem, have lost access to their land and are forced to flee their homes.

The Palestinian people may be the most persecuted and brutally martyred among those who still oppose an occupying force. The allocation of blood and sacrifices made by those living in areas illegally occupied by Israel during these years is very high. The humanitarian and socio-economic suffering of these people as a result of the abuses committed by Israel is incalculable.

Every day the most basic human rights of more than two million people are violated in areas that are being abused, including the elderly, women and children. More than five million Palestinians are refugees in other countries unable to return to their ancestral lands. Decades of claims against the occupied and besieged territories of the West Bank and Gaza, the Indipadas and the Zionist occupation have passed, which deprives the Palestinian people of their inalienable right to self-determination and the right to freedom, liberty, justice and the right to live with dignity.

The Cuban United Nations reaffirms its support for the Palestinian people in demanding and defending their rights, deciding to continue the struggle for their just cause, releasing and detaining Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli jails until the Israeli government opposes a comprehensive, just and lasting solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. And murders.

UNCHA, as an association promoting the aims and policies of the United Nations Charter, affirms its solidarity with this fraternal nation and calls on the international community, all states, international organizations and the UN Security Council. The Israeli army must immediately stop its massacre of the Palestinian people and put an end to its expansionist and colonial policies.
