Twitter chief Elon Musk will step down from his main position on the social media platform once he finds a successor.
He got Twitter users to vote on whether he should vacate the network’s top online job.
Approximately 58 percent of the respondents spoke in favor of his resignation.
“I will step down as CEO as soon as I find someone stupid enough to do the job,” Musk wrote on Twitter. After that he will only lead the software and server teams. CNBC had previously reported that he was actively searching for a successor.

Musk said on Sunday that there is no successor and that “nobody wants the job that can actually keep Twitter alive.” Musk was voted down by the Twitter community after criticism of his leadership style.
