  • Stefan Kung and Stefan Bisiger secured a double victory for Switzerland at the start of the 85th Tour de Suisse.
  • Kung is the fastest driver in the Battle of Time at Frauenfeld.
  • The eastern Swiss team completed 10.9 kilometers and four seconds faster than compatriot Stephane Biseiger.

It was a great opportunity for Stefan Kung to win in his home country. It’s a technically time consuming experience that doesn’t require huge gradations and is perfectly tailored for the European Champion in time trials.

The 27-year-old lived up to his role as the favorite and took victory today in the most important race on the Swiss stage. Küng national Stefan Bissegger also showed a solid performance and was only 4secs behind.

In this section, the peloton should cover 173 kilometers and 2375 meters in height from Neuhausen am Rhein to Lachen. Neuhausen is the first stage of the Tour de Suisse. You can follow the stage from 15:25 live on the SRF Zwei and in the SRF Sport app.
