Arm wrestlers from Wolfsburg took three medals and took third place in the team classification at the European Championships in Gdansk. Jan Tiger and Matthias Schlett started in Lower Saxony.

Gdansk. Wolfsburg arm wrestlers Jan Tiger and Matthias Schlett competed with the German national team at the European Championships in Gdansk, Poland. Teammate Fabian Tiger was unable to actively participate this time due to injury, but supported the team as captain.

At weight the day before the competition, both VfLers reached their target weight, while Täger weighed 62.7 kg and Schlitte weighed 69.2 kg. For Jan Täger, who became the left-arm world champion in 2019, things got serious just a day later. He started with his left arm to class up to 63kg and immediately caused an exclamation point. The Wolfsburg player showed strong and lasting battles and reached the final against the international competition unbeaten. In the final fight, Tiger defeated Georgian champion Shalva Gapisani and won his first European title.
