This video was the first to get 10 billion clicks

“Baby Shark Dance” has now been clicked on YouTube ten billion times. This is a new record: a clip on the podium never broke the ten billion mark.

For comparison: 7.89 billion people live on Earth as of August 2021. This means that, on average, everyone has watched the video more than once, in theory. The video also has a comfortable gap in second place among YouTube’s most-watched videos: “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi feat. Daddy Yankee has been viewed only 7.7 billion times.
