It’s a winner even before the live shows! Tina Ambrecht, 23, of Aargau not only made the top ten in the Deutschland Asst den Superstar, but she also gave up her heart. Last weekend, the former radio presenter publicly announced her relationship with fellow activist Dean Omerhodich (24).
She didn’t expect the two to become a couple. “We didn’t expect it at all, and it was a huge surprise,” Umbricht says in an interview with Blick. The two only met last February at another candidate’s birthday party. “We haven’t actually seen each other for half a year since the international call-up in Italy. Then we met again at the party, and the spark lit up,” Umbricht recalls.
Tina sparked Dean’s interest in Italy
Although the two converged only two months ago, the medical student became aware of Tina Ambrecht during a summons abroad. Omerhodzic reveals: “I was already a fan of her in Italy. I found her very attractive and interesting.” Because she still had a boyfriend at the time, he intentionally distanced himself out of respect. At the Christmas party, the woman from Argau was detached and sad. “Then I was there just for her as a colleague,” Frankfurter said. Suddenly there was a choice from which more could come. “We looked at each other at five in the morning, and then suddenly exploded,” says Dean Omerhodzic.
Since then, the two of them have been on cloud nine. Omarodzic now gives her what she was missing in previous relationships. “Religion allows me to do whatever I want. He trusts me 150 percent and believes in me too,” she is excited. Outwardly, they will look different in style, but Omerhodzic assures: “We are very similar in heart because we are very emotional and give everything related to love.”

But in addition to being lovers, Tina Umbricht and Dean Umerhodzic are also rivals. They both made it to “DSDS” on their first live show tonight and are fighting for victory on May 7. However, the medical student does not see any competition. “It’s impossible for me to see her as a competitor because I like her so much,” he explains. When she performs, he enjoys it. “Of course she is a fellow candidate, but I wish her to succeed as much as I do,” he continues. The same applies to his girlfriend. “We told ourselves that if one of us wins, we both win,” Umbricht adds.
The two are currently in a long distance relationship. He lives in Frankfurt, which is in Gränichen AG. The distance isn’t that hard, says Umbrecht. “I have been with him more in the last few weeks than in Switzerland. In the meantime he has arrived in Switzerland.” Omerhodich adds with a laugh: “It was my first time in Switzerland more than a day ago, and I must say that you are very expensive. But in general you have a beautiful country, you have to give it to you.” The two have already talked about moving to live together, but their number one goal is a vacation together. “We want to go on vacation together by the sea and get away from it all,” says Dean Omerhodzic.

Before the two can relax on the beach, they’re on the big “DSDS” stage. There’s a little tension already, but Tina Ambrecht is happier: “I’m so grateful to be here this time.” In 2015 she already participated in “DSDS”. You made it to the top 25, but then it was over. The second attempt started with several good luck spells. In addition to a necklace of gems from her best friend’s mother and an inheritance from her mother, she also holds something from her very close friend: “I got a ring from Dean, which is definitely my lucky charm.”
