When is the draw?

European teams are excluded from this rule, as they have the largest number of participants in the World Cup, with a total of 13 participants. The rule here is that a maximum of two teams from Europe can be drawn into the same group. Switzerland (Pot 2) could join defending champions France (Pot 1) in the group, but then Serbia (Pot 3), for example, should not be in that group.
