This is how Barbara from Vitznau celebrates the HIT 600

“It’s just legendary!” Barbara can’t be stopped with joy. Barbara celebrates HIT 600 at home with her loved ones. The party has become a tradition, she tells us. “We’ve celebrated Whitsun weekend with the HIT 600 since 2008, it’s amazing, we love it.” Even the grandkids are now involved.

Many people know Barbara from her legendary annual HIT 600 parties. For example, there are Pilatus Radio posters in her lawn and a large poster with all the photos she’s taken over the years over Pentecost weekend.

Pool for young and old

The HIT 600 on Pentecost weekend has been a tradition at Barbara’s for 15 years. At first, only the closest family got together for the long weekend. Today there are about two dozen people throughout the day who find their way to Vitznau. From grandmothers to great-grandchildren, the HIT 600 Weekend is an annual event special for everyone.

Vitznau at its best

From Barbara’s balcony you can see not only Lake Lucerne, but also the Parkhotel Vitznau right in front of you. A gentle breeze is blowing, seat 464 is just ringing and the palm trees in the garden are casting gentle shadows on the balcony. The atmosphere couldn’t be more comfortable.

A knack for winning advice

“Most of the time, I correctly predicted who would end up in first place,” Barbara proudly says. When it comes to the winner of HIT 600 2023, she’s still not sure:

But Remo Forrer’s “Watergun” is perhaps a way forward.

Never miss hitting 600

“Every year it’s very interesting to see what songs are currently trending,” says the 54-year-old. Barbara’s enthusiastic friends assure Pilatus Radio: “We never miss the 600th hit.” Every year, family and friends toast together on Pentecost and enjoy the view of Lake Lucerne with Pilatus Radio music in the background.
