Einat Bolag and Alan Koons
Six of the seven names on YB Sports Director Christoph Speicher’s roster are said to have already been taken down, but one has been added: former FCB coach Rafael Wiki (44), currently coach in the USA at the Chicago Fire.
Lucerne coach Fabio Celestini (45), the first cup winner with the central Swiss national team after a 29-year drought, remains the frontrunner. In general, the French-speaking country does an excellent job in Lucerne. Like last season, FCL pulled out of the relegation zone and finished this season in fifth place.
FCL asks for a lot of money
According to Blick information, Bernese will want to cash out 1.5 million Swiss francs for the 45-year-old. Lots of money to transfer. And a hell of a lot of money for the Lucerne team. Apparently, Celestini also committed to wanting to turn into a Bernese. His contract at Lucerne was only extended for another two years at the beginning of January.
His departure would hit Lucerne hard. The team has finally recovered and is working with its coach as one unit. And now the entire structure is collapsing again. And it can hit Lucerne even harder. As reported by Luzerner Zeitung, Celestini’s assistant coach Genesio Colatrella will also be leaving FCL. Not to DC, but to FCZ as an under-21 coach.
