The installation at Potsdamer Platz is Berlin’s counterpart to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. However, Boulevard Deer Stars doesn’t really exude much brilliance. However, the damaged and crumbling path at Potsdamer Platz won’t be fixed any time soon.
The Senate, in response to a request by the AfD, said a short-term renewal was not possible due to “legal issues” that needed clarification.
The roof covering used to build the avenue caused cleaning problems. Therefore, cracks and splintering would have formed. “After various unsuccessful restoration attempts, construction methods that can be used to renovate the avenue are currently being clarified.”
There probably won’t be a new street any time soon. “So far, no funds are planned for the design and construction of a new street in the 2022/2023 dual budget,” she added.
Film and television professionals have been honored on the Avenue since 2010, and there are now 105 named stars.
