Many cultural institutions will be back soon from summer vacation. Tonhalle, opera, and theater, for example, rely on certification. But not all of them do that.
Soon, cultural autumn is approaching and with it a question for many homes: Do we require our visitors to have a valid Covid certificate? According to the Federal Council This requirement is valid only for discos and ballrooms as well as for large events with more than 1,000 participants. But more and more cultural institutions are voluntarily choosing to obtain a degree, as a look at the landscapes of Zurich shows.
The Opera and Tonhalle Zurich announced in a press release Monday morning that they are using 3G. This means: whoever wants to attend a show in both houses must be vaccinated, cured, or tested. They must provide this mandatory certification, because both the Opera and Tonhalle have more than 1,000 seats — and they want to fill them all again from the start of the season in September, the letter says. In addition, all visitors must continue to wear masks.
