The US government places companies in China, Japan, Pakistan and Singapore under military amalgamation. For example, some companies will contribute to Pakistan’s nuclear program. China speaks of a “wrong way” for the United States.
The United States has stepped up repression of companies in China, Japan, Pakistan and Singapore against companies allegedly linked to the military. A total of 27 new companies have been added to the trade list for national security and foreign policy reasons, the U.S. Department of Commerce said Wednesday. Many companies and individuals from China and Pakistan have been recruited to contribute to Pakistan’s nuclear program.
Trade Minister Gina Raymondo said the move would ensure that US technology was not responsible for the development of Chinese and Russian “military advances and operations.”
The Chinese embassy in Washington has accused the United States of using the concept of national security as a hook and abusing state power to control Chinese companies in all its forms. Diplomatic spokesman Liu Penguin said China firmly rejects this. The United States should follow the “feeling” of the virtual meeting between US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping last week and “meet China halfway instead of continuing to go the wrong way”.
