Group A

Switzerland-Canada 6:3

The Swiss ice hockey team is going from victory to victory at the World Championships in Finland. Switzerland defeated Canada 6-3 after falling behind three times in Helsinki and is the only team at the World Cup not to lose a point. After a runaway first division (3:3), NHL strikers Nico Hischier, Pius Suter and Swiss Timo Meier fired for the win.

The Swiss team will meet France in the next match on Sunday evening. Regardless of the outcome of this match, national coach Patrick Fischer’s team will play Germany to win the group on Tuesday afternoon.
