Strange scenes occurred during the relegation match between Zaresko Selo and Lokomotiv Sofia of the Bulgarian 1st Professional Football League on Saturday. Zarsko Selo’s owner stormed the field to demand which player on his team should take the penalty that was due.
When Zaresko Selo awarded a penalty in the 73rd minute, Yaffa Yusova seized the ball to take the penalty kick. He clashed with his captain, Martin Kavdansky, because he also wanted to take the penalty.
Shortly thereafter, Selo owner Stoen Manulov stormed the field and engaged in a brawl between the players. Manulov snatched the ball from Yusova and handed it to his captain Kavdansky.
Kafdansky was executed, but his shot was blocked by the opposing team’s goalkeeper. Previously, Yusova had already taken off his shirt and left the field, after the penalty kick was saved, he also applauded maliciously on the sidelines.
Youssoufa was once contracted to Frankfurt
Yusupha, who was a contractor with Eintracht Frankfurt for six months in 2015, made headlines not the first time. The Gambian striker hails from AC Milan’s youth squad and was expelled from the Under-19 team in 2014 because, according to Milan’s side, he was 28 years old at the time and allegedly presented a false passport.
After leaving Frankfurt, he was under contract to the second MSV Duisburg team until the beginning of 2017 and was then without club until the beginning of this year before being hired by Zarsko Selo. It is not yet clear what will happen to him after the dispute with the team owner and club captain.
