Spanish authorities have seized a yacht for the first time, said to belong to the Russian oligarchy affected by European Union sanctions. This was reported by El Pais newspaper and other Spanish media on Monday evening.
The newspaper quoted the General Directorate of the Spanish Merchant Navy.

The newspaper wrote that the ship, which was built in 2011 by the Lürssen shipyard in Bremen, may in fact belong to Chemisov, and this is evident from the Pandora papers published last year.
According to research by an international network of journalists, to which El Pais also belongs, there is a complex network of companies in tax havens between the oligarch and the ship.
