More characters in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe are coming.
The fourth wave of the Booster Track Pass for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is now available and brings not only an all-new character with Birdo to the track, but several new tracks as well. But not only that: the updated character selection screen will make you happy!
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is getting returning characters
What does the character screen show? With the new character Birdo, available with the fourth wave of DLC, there are now a total of 43 characters in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. And in the future there will be more. Because as the updated character screen shows, five new slots have been added.
These are currently still with a question mark:

As Nintendo announced in a press release, more downloadable content will be added in future waves Recurring characters from the Mario Kart series consequences.
Possible new Mario Kart 8 characters: Characters like Samus Aran, Captain Falcon, and Kirby, who are always requested by the community (and fellow Tobi Veltin), should be left out, as they haven’t appeared in any other MK title yet. On the other hand, Funky Kong, Petey Piranha or Pauline would be possible.
Nintendo already confirmed in February that more drivers would be added with DLC waves 5 and 6, but didn’t announce the exact number at the time.
