The Glorious O 2: Airy lightweight gets a new sensor

Beehive weights include Glorious Model O and Glorious Model O Wireless for popular models. The next generation aims to raise the bar to a higher level. Among other things, Glorious is based on a new sensor and further reduces weight.

The new generation starts with two models – the wired Glorious Model O 2 and the Wireless O 2 Wireless. The weight of the O 2 model has been reduced from 67g to 59g compared to its predecessor. Among other things, Glorius has developed a honeycomb design for this. On the other hand, with the O 2 Wireless model, the weight is only reduced to a minimum. While the predecessor weighed 69 grams, the new model weighs 68 grams. Dimensions are given as 127 x 66 x 38 mm (L x W x H) each.

Both mice get a new optical sensor with BAMF 2.0. It has a resolution of 26000 dpi. The maximum mouse speed is set at 650 IPS and the maximum acceleration is 50 g. The manufacturer also installs Glorious switches, which are said to be particularly durable with 80 million clicks. For master keys, the reverberation time can be flexibly set between 0 and 16 milliseconds and thus can be customized according to relevant needs. The DPI number, USB polling rate (maximum 1000Hz) and boot distance can also be adjusted. There is a margin between 1 and 2 mm for LOD. The selected settings can be saved in three profiles on the mouse. It can then be called using one of the six configurable keys.

On the underside of the mouse, PTFE G-Skates should ensure the best gliding behavior. The USB cable for the Model O 2 is particularly flexible. The Wireless O 2 model can be used wirelessly with a 2.4GHz receiver or via Bluetooth 5.2 LE. A slide switch on the bottom allows you to quickly switch between wireless operating modes. When running at 2.4GHz, a battery life of up to 110 hours should be achieved. According to the manufacturer, Bluetooth 5.2 LE doubles the runtime to approximately 210 hours. Scope of delivery includes a 2-meter charging cable with a USB-C mouse connection.

Caseking is expected to ship the new Glorious models from the second week of December. The Glorious Model O 2 costs 79.90 euros, while the Glorious Model O 2 costs 119.90 euros. Both models are available in black and white.
