Brand history
Punica was launched in 1977 and was owned by the German company Dittmeyer GmbH. In 1984, the Procter & Gamble brand acquired this. Later, in 2004, Procter & Gamble sold Punica to American investor JW Childs. In 2005, the brand passed to Pepsico, who finally sold Punica to PAI Partners in 2022. There, the juice division was consolidated into Tropicana Brands Group, before finally deciding in September 2022 to discontinue production of fruit juices and discontinue the brand.
