The World Cup has ended in Qatar, as 7 out of 8 stadiums were built specifically for the tournament. Most of these stadiums have already passed their heyday.

After China returned to host the 2022 AFC Asian Cup in May, Qatar will soon host its next major soccer tournament. But by that time the situation in Qatar should have changed dramatically, at least in terms of stadiums.
The inaugural match was hosted by Al-Bayt Stadium. The capacity of the stadium will be reduced from more than 60,000 spectators to 30,000 by dismantling the upper tier. The lodge level will be converted into a hotel.

Argentina celebrated their third World Cup title thanks to Lionel Messi at Lusail Stadium. There are no concrete plans for the stadium, which has a capacity of 88,966 spectators. Various options are currently under consideration. From schools to clinics, everything is conceivable at the moment.

Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium
It is Al Rayyan Stadium, hence it is also known as Al Rayyan Stadium. The capacity of 45,000 will be reduced to 20,000 after the World Cup.

The stadium will continue to be used by Al-Wakrah Club in the Qatari League after the World Cup. However, its capacity for the World Cup will also be reduced from 44,325 to 20,000 spectators.

Al Thumama Stadium
Al Thumama Stadium will also continue to be used as a football stadium after the World Cup. However, only two domestic clubs that are not active in Qatar’s first division are eligible here. Because of this, the stadium is likely to only seat 20,000 spectators instead of 40,000 in the future.

Education City Stadium
Here too, the capacity of 44,667 spectators will be reduced to 20,000. The stadium is located on the campus of Al-Rayyan University and is set to become the home of the Qatar women’s national team. The only problem is that they played their last competitive match in 2014.

Khalifa International Stadium
Qatar National Stadium was before the World Cup and will remain so after the World Cup. The World Athletics Championships were held here in 2019. It is also the only stadium that was actually in place before Qatar was awarded the World Cup.

The stadium is made of 974 recycled containers that will be dismantled after the World Cup. It is the first World Cup stadium to be completely dismantled after the last match and later rebuilt in a different location. However, it is currently still unclear where the stadium will be rebuilt.

And hit him again. ARD’s South American correspondent, Matthias Ebert, reported from Buenos Aires on Tuesday night in Argentina about the world champion’s welcome. Hundreds of thousands of fans were waiting for Lionel Messi & Co. Right in the middle was Ebert, who never let anything in the world bother him again. Not even by some fan who carried him on their shoulders and tossed him a few times.
