DHe is an electric car maker Tesla Nearly 1.1 million vehicles in the U.S. are required to install the software update due to safety concerns. The Federal Highway and Motor Vehicle Safety Administration (NHTSA) on Thursday noted a malfunction with the automatic closing system for windows in several Tesla models. Passengers are at risk of pinching their fingers.
Tesla vehicles have a sensor system designed to automatically detect resistance and stop the windows from closing. However, in some Model 3, Y, S and X vehicles, the resistors are not always reliably detected, NHTSA warned. Tesla said the company is not aware of any accidents or injuries resulting from the malfunction. The problem should now be fixed with a software update. Affected car owners will be notified from November 15 onwards. Tesla already has several such recalls this year America to begin.
For too long, the company has been pushing software updates without notifying owners or regulators. However, in recent months, Tesla has become the focus of NHTSA. The watchdog launched an investigation after several collisions between Teslas and emergency vehicles.
