In Twitter’s online service, there seem to be hours of failure. Users from the United States have particularly reported problems with access. It was one of the biggest upsets since Elon Musk took over Twitter.
According to users from all over the world, Twitter had problems accessing the SMS service for hours. DownDetector, a platform that specializes in internet crashes, reported a significant increase in issues on Twitter overnight. Users will not be able to see their notifications and will not be able to use other functions.
According to the website, more than 10,000 people from the United States, 2,500 from Japan, and 2,500 from the United Kingdom have reported access problems. Most reports indicated access via a web browser. The reason initially remained unclear. Later, users on the site reported that service has returned to normal. There was no immediate comment from Twitter itself.
Musk: “It works for me.”
It was one of Twitter’s most serious technical disruptions since Elon Musk took over the online service. With the keyword “#TwitterDown”, users themselves reported several problems with the online service. One user wrote: “Can anyone see this or is twitter down?”
Musk took over Twitter in October, firing several employees as a first step. Controllers assume hundreds of workers have been laid off — including engineers responsible for fixing bugs and preventing failure.
