Tennis: Grabher celebrates premiere after brief appearance

After Grabher turned the first set after an early service loss to make it 1:2 with two breaks and used a second set ball after 37 minutes, Trevisan threw in the towel. The Italian, ranked 26th in the world, helped her Austrian opponent find her place in the WTA computer at number 74, making her semi-final debut.

“Of course it’s a pity that we couldn’t finish the match, but the performance has been good so far, which gives me more self-confidence,” Graber happily said in a Facebook post. “It puts me in the top 4 for the first time on the WTA Tour, I’m really happy about that and I’m really excited for tomorrow.
