BioWare and Electronic Arts have revealed the accuracy and frame rates that “Mass Effect: Legendary Edition” will offer on the various platforms. There will be two modes of presentation with “performance” and “quality”. Xbox Series X / S and PlayStation 5 will see improvements, but only as part of backward compatibility.
Performance or quality on controllers
- Preferred quality achieves the highest graphics quality possible at the expense of a lower frame rate.
- Preferred frame rate achieves the highest possible frame rate by reducing resolution and some graphics functions.
PS4
- Frame rate: up to 60 fps, 1080p
- Quality: Up to 30 fps and 1080p
PS4 Pro
- Frame rate: up to 60fps, 1440p
- Quality: Up to 30fps, 4K
PS5
- Frame rate: up to 60fps, 1440p
- Quality: Up to 60fps, 4K
Xbox One
- Frame rate: up to 60 fps, 1080p
- Quality: Up to 30 fps and 1080p
Xbox One X / Xbox Series S.
- Frame rate: up to 60fps, 1440p
- Quality: Up to 30fps, 4K
Xbox Xbox X.
- Frame rate: up to 120 fps, 1440 pixels
- Quality: Up to 60fps, 4K
Depending on the hardware, up to 240 frames per second and various resolutions can be used on a PC. Additionally, the various fee options can be modified at any time. “Mass Effect: Legendary Edition” will be released on May 14, 2021 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
