Taylor Swift defends herself in private jet scandal
According to a study, Taylor Swift has generated the most carbon dioxide among all stars this year. Now the singer is defending herself.
Taylor Swift (32) is usually happy when she leads a hit show. But the singer has no desire to be No. 1 among the prominent environmental offenders.
According to a study by the British marketing agency Yard, in 2022, musicians had the most carbon dioxide2Leave an imprint. According to Yard, Swift’s private jet, the Dassault Falcon 7X, has flown 170 flights so far this year, generating 8,293 tons of CO2.2 produced. That’s more than 1,200 tons more than the private jets of boxer Floyd Mayweather (45) and rapper Jay-Z (52) emitted. The two occupy the second and third positions in the study.
Taylor Swift’s private jet will be loaned to other people
Swift doesn’t want to accept that – especially since her fans are so critical of her for her many travels. Among other things, it was said on social media: “Stop destroying the environment, Taylor.” So her spokesperson announced that she had not flown as much as she was accused of. “Taylor’s plane is regularly loaned out to other people. It is obviously wrong to attribute most or all of these flights to her.”
Kylie Jenner, 24, has come under fire from environmentalists because she and boyfriend Travis Scott, 31, flew to the same event in two separate private planes. The businessman ranks 19th among the notable climate culprits, and Scott is 10th. (cth/bsn)
