It was one of the most difficult times in her life: Tamara Berger (30 years old) from Hinwil ZH was diagnosed with lymphoma in the spring of 2020. Doctors rated the chances of a cure good, but a trained carpenter kept losing strength during chemotherapy. A song for a megawatt rock band helped her.
“Whenever I was given a drop with a drop of an infusion during chemotherapy, I could hear the music. I couldn’t stand the noise of the chemotherapy machine,” Berger tells Blake. It wasn’t until mid-treatment that she discovered megawatt music through her fiancé – and the nickname “Loieherz”. “I want, I can, I will fight until the end of the day, fu mim lipa,” singer Thomas Graff (45) sings this song.
Stimulation during chemotherapy
“The song helped me get the crab into the Voodles,” Tamara Berger explains. “Near the end of chemotherapy, I didn’t know where to get my strength from. I went so far as to play around with the idea of stopping the entire workout,” she says. “I heard the song over and over and got new motivation.” Burger has been cancer-free since November 17th. 2020.
The fact that his song has such an effect stirs huge emotions in Fronts’ Megawatt Thomas Graf. Berger is now part of the music video and reveals her story there. “I didn’t have to think twice. I want to show people through my story that cancer should not be a death sentence. ”While filming the clip, I also got to know the front MegaWatt man in person. Today, they seem to be well trained and even share private things with each other.
“You definitely have to play with us on Chilbi,” says Berger, who is also the head of Guggenmusik Note-Furzer at Hinwil. “And at your wedding,” says Graff. That should be so far in the summer, Graf notes the history. Will there be a surprise? One thing is for sure: Thanks to “Loieherz”, Tamara and Megawatt have a very special connection. Tamara: “When I hear the song, I feel stronger than ever before.”
