Switzerland changes business class service on long-distance routes

Swiss introduces a new service concept in Business Class on all long-haul flights. In addition to the classic restaurant service in which dishes are of course served, the new ‘Casual Dining’ option gives travelers the opportunity to choose an appetizer, main course and dessert at the same time and at the time they desire. .

On daily flights, the additional service before landing will be replaced by the new Swiss Bistro. From the bistro menu, after main service until shortly before landing, guests can choose from a selection of warm dishes – such as the Swiss Prime Beef Burger with Coleslaw salad – and cold dishes and snacks.

In addition, Swiss now offers its guests on long-haul flights from Switzerland, for a period of six months, selected dishes by top Swiss chefs who have been on board in recent years as part of the Swiss Taste of Switzerland concept.

The dishes, traditionally accompanied by regional wines and cheese dishes, should reflect the culinary diversity of all Swiss regions. At Fist Class, for example, there’s marinated lobster with pecorino cheese and cauliflower panna cotta as an appetizer, and veal steak with black truffle sauce as a main course.
