With the “Transfer to iOS” app, smartphone users have the opportunity to transfer their data from their Android device to iPhone or iPad. This would make it easier to change the operating system. like “9to5Google” mentionedGoogle, obviously, wants to follow suit at this point and is developing an app to migrate to Android.
Basically, these plans are nothing new. Already in the last year it became known that Google is working on such an application. But what’s new is that Google has apparently created an interface that can also be used to transfer data from iCloud. This innovation was discovered in version 1.0.430697386 of the Data Transfer Tool that serves as the basis for the application.
Google Transfer App: Release Date Not Determined Yet
Previously, it was only possible to transfer files stored locally on an Apple device via WiFi. So photos or videos from the cloud had to be handled manually. However, the automatic process is still smooth. You are currently required to apply for the corresponding data transfer using your Apple account. Apparently, it can take up to a week for the files to be on Google.
It remains to be seen if Google will find a way to shorten this process. It is not possible to predict when Google will officially launch the “Switch to Android” app.
