Peter Freiburghaus is better known as Ernst Fischbach – half of Duo Fischbach. The comedian has passed away at the age of 75.

Peter Freiburgus, born in the Bernese region, was best known as the Fischbach duo. He formed the comedy duo in 1991 with his partner Antonia Limscher.

Freiburghaus was a nightclub artist, playwright, director, designer and actor – in 2012 he played an Alzheimer’s patient in “Nebelgrind”, a property owner in “Tatort” or a forest man in Season 4 “The Undertaker”.

“I accept the roles I get – like all actors,” Freiburgos said in an interview with SRF in 2016. In this interview, it was also revealed that he had no other choice regarding his role in life: “The technical side was not entirely voluntary, because I would have despaired in the work office.”
