“Squid Game” comes with its second season

The hit Korean series “Squid Game” with Lee Jung-jae (49) is getting its second season on Netflix. “The Squid game world is just getting started,” says Ted Sarandos, 57, co-CEO of the streaming provider. The series is Netflix’s biggest hit to date. In the first four weeks after its launch last fall, “Squid Game” was watched by about 150 million people.

The series is a mixture of action and social criticism: in a game show, hundreds of indebted people from completely different social backgrounds compete against each other in children’s games to win millions in prize money. The losers are instantly killed in the terrible competition.
