Square Enix announces Dungeon Encounters – coming this month for the Nintendo Switch – ntower

Square Enix announced Dungeon Encounters, a new role-playing game with strategy elements, on October 14

Square Enix Ltd. Today announced DUNGEON ENCOUNTERS as part of the “SQUARE ENIX PRESENTS” livestream at the Tokyo Game Show. The new single-player role-playing game with exciting dungeons will be released digitally on October 14, 2021 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC (Steam).

DUNGEON ENCOUNTERS was developed under the direction of Hiroyuki Ito, longtime contributor to the FINAL FANTASY franchise, and produced by Hiroaki Kato (FINAL FANTASY XII THE ZODIAC AGE). The title puts players’ strategic skills to the test through 100 challenging levels. You will move into a 2D grid and lead expeditions to explore the depths of an extraordinary labyrinth. Players have to prepare to overcome many obstacles, win battles and defeat monsters in order to overcome the intelligent game system and reach the lowest level in the dungeon. You have to be strategic to survive!

Players can look forward to a polished and improved interpretation of the classic ATB (Active Time Battle) system from the FINAL FANTASY series, created by the original developer, Hiroyuki Ito. DUNGEON ENCOUNTERS presents a variety of cool characters created by character designer Ryoma Ito. The game is a unique experience on the “dungeon crawler” genre and offers players the option to customize their collection to effectively face challenges and overcome obstacles. Fans can look forward to the soundtrack created under the direction of music director Nobuo Uematsu, which features a modern take on classic tracks that will guide players through the many levels and experiences of DUNGEON ENCOUNTERS.

DUNGEON ENCOUNTERS will be released digitally on October 14, 2021 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC (Steam). USK approved title for ages 6 and up.

Pre-orders on Nintendo Switch and Steam are now available and running until the end of October¹ 20% discount.
