The Swiss at the European Championships in Rome with a record delegation

Swiss athletics has selected 60 athletes to take part in the European Championships from June 7 to 12 in Rome – more than ever before. The previous record delegation was 53 participants at the 2014 European Championships in Zurich.

At the last European Championships, held two years ago in Munich, Switzerland was more successful than ever, winning six medals. All five athletes who were on the podium will also be there in Rome. These are Mujinga Kambundji (silver in the 100m and gold in the 200m), Ricky Petrucciani (silver in the 400m), Ditaji Kambundji (bronze in the 100m hurdles), Anik Kalin (bronze in the heptathlon) and Simon Ehamer. (Silver in Decathlon) The last starts in the long jump in the Italian capital.

He wants to chant again in Rome, as he did in Munich two years ago: mujinga kampungi.
