Influencer Sophia Thiel (26) has had an eventful time: She recently returned after a two-year hiatus without warning. Shortly thereafter she revealed, “I have an eating disorder!” The influencer now expresses how difficult her relationship is with her body in a symbolic post on Instagram.
Teal sits naked on a wooden chair, a maze painted black on her body. “Me and my body. What we went through together, ”Thiel writes. “A maze on my skin, symbolizing all the wrong ways and dead ends in life – in my long search for myself.”
The flesh felt that it was the greatest saboteur
She goes on to say that she felt like she was in a maze until she was diagnosed with an eating disorder. “You might think that you talk about yourself and your body together in one and not separately from each other, as I do here. But that’s been with me for a long time – no matter how hard I fight against it. I felt that my body was like my opponent, the greatest saboteur of my happiness. “
Today she is grateful that her body has forgiven all the “trash” she did with it. However, Thiel has yet to reach her goal. “It took a while before I found my own, my position, and it was probably the most difficult time of my life personally. But the search is finally over. “
The photo can also be seen on the cover of Thiel’s new book “Come Back Stronger,” in which the influencer is writing about her eating disorder.
Even if Thiel takes up an important topic with the accompanying photo and text, it appears to be violating Instagram guidelines. Because the platform warns: “Sensitive content: This image contains content that some people might find offensive.” (Billion dollar)
