The Taiwanese company Seasonic has introduced a new 12V 2×6 cable with a 90-degree plug for powerful graphics cards and is currently inviting a total of one hundred owners of the Nvidia Geforce RTX 4000 (“Ada Lovelace”) to test their new product Kidney Test. This means that many of the previously known problems that often occur with cables and adapters of this type may be a thing of the past. Recently, for example, CableMod was forced to recall several of its adapters.
“Compact 12V-2×6 90 Degree L-Type Module Cable”, as it is officially called, has now been published on the manufacturer's official product page on the Chinese platform Sina Weibo It has been introduced and should officially support the latest specifications and standards such as ATX 3.1 and CEM 5.1.

The new cable will later be replaced with its 90 degree socket as a 'free upgrade' with the cables already attached and is compatible with Vertex, Focus and Prime series internal power supplies. The manufacturer is currently looking for a total of one hundred volunteer testers to try out the product using a Geforce RTX 4000 with 12+4-pin connectivity.
The manufacturer has not yet announced when the new 12V 2×6 cable with 90 degree connector will be officially available. However, it is very likely that Seasonic plans to announce this at CES 2024 in January next year and will provide more information at that time.
