Adrian Schwab of Basel won the European Cup in Suhl with a centerfire pistol.

The start to the season couldn’t be better for shooter Adrian Schaub. The Basel exhibitor dominated the centerfire pistol competition in Suhl, Germany, on Saturday. “Solid accuracy (288) was again followed by solid dueling (294),” said pistol instructor Heidi Diethelm Gerber. “Although after the first series (46) he released his adrenaline, he showed everyone the master with the next series (50, 50, 50, 50, 48), the coach sums up. At the European Cup, Schwab Kevin Chabon of France (281) was relegated to Second place and Slovenia’s Jozy Saber (580) to third place.

The other two Swiss, Dylan Diethelm (558) and Cedric Grisoni (554), missed a few points too many in the accuracy and speed departments, finishing twelfth and fourteenth.
