FC Schalke 04: Kouzuki is playing his part in the spotlight
Soichiro Kozuki played in J.League II at home until the end of 2021, then moved to Germany in early 2022. He started his adventure at 1. FC Düren in the Mittelrheinliga, then moved to FC Schalke 04 II in the regional league in the summer – and now six months later He is already looking forward to making the jump to the Bundesliga.
With a recommended eight goals and five assists in 14 regional league games, Kozuki has been allowed to travel with the pros these days and coach Thomas Reese has introduced himself. The 21-year-old took advantage of these opportunities – and how!
In a 2-2 draw against Rapid Vienna, Kozuki came on at half-time and scored his first professional goal after just eight minutes. Against Hajduk Split (3:4) Kozuki came on for Marius Polter in the second half and immediately made a splash, scoring his second goal in the 73rd minute.
