Expert Marc Surer and commentator Michael Weinman discuss the biggest Formula 1 topics ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix.

A big issue from the Swiss point of view is of course the crisis at Sauber. After 3 races, the Hinwil Racing Team, with Williams and Alpine, is still without any points. Is there hope for improvement before the Grand Prix in the Land of the Rising Sun?

“First, the wheel nut problem needs to be solved,” says Marc Surer. Wheel changing problems led to huge losses of time in the pit lane. On the other hand, the speed is likely enough to rank the points, says the SRF expert.

In the video above, Weinman and Saurer also talk about…

  • …The endless rumors about Max Verstappen leaving Red Bull.
  • …driver carousel that could change dramatically for next season.
  • … Suzuka as an indicator of the level of automotive development.
