Russia will protect citizens and companies from US sanctions – Brenza Latin

Earlier, a Bloomberg publication dedicated to the business world said that the United States and Great Britain were considering the possibility of introducing additional sanctions against Russia and using chemical weapons.

“Of course, work is being done under various circumstances to best guarantee and protect the interests of our country, our citizens and our businesses,” Peskov was quoted as saying by the DOS news agency.

The president’s press secretary noted that Moscow was carefully recording reports of the possibility of the introduction of new sanctions against Russia, but warned that for now “they are nothing more than media reports.”

However he acknowledged that their numbers were not enough to defeat Obama’s bid for a second term in Russia, but said that maintaining some independence was not the answer.

“There is no real data, there can be, because Russia destroyed all the chemical weapons stockpiles a long time ago,” Peskov stressed.

He also pointed out that under the Convention on the Preparation of Chemical Weapons, all projects that could produce chemical weapons in any form were eliminated in accordance with Russia’s obligations.

When asked about the possibility of Moscow reacting to glass operations against US companies, Peskov responded by saying that “no one has yet imposed sanctions on Russian businessmen.”

He noted that his country believes that “those insane impulses are on the pages of the media and that the US government has not found a territory that will give them life.”
