Recently, the age rating of Red Dead Redemption 2 for Switch caused quite a stir, raising hopes of a Nintendo console release. But these hopes are now facing a severe setback.
A sentence containing x might have been nothing! After Brazil’s age rating recently gave hope for Red Dead Redemption 2’s release on Switch, there’s now a bitter setback. Looks like something like this is not on the way!
The corresponding entry by the Brazilian authorities was clearly a mistake; A Switch version of the western open-world sequel, which was originally released in 2018, is clearly not on the horizon.
This relates to the release of the first part of the Rockstar series in August for the Switch, because Red Dead Redemption is now actually available for the Switch. In fact, this seems to be exactly what the Brazilian Classification Board wanted to portray with its new and updated age classification. The entry made refers to Red Dead Redemption, but was mistakenly added to the sequel.
In the meantime, the error was noticed and the situation was corrected. The age rating for Red Dead Redemption 2 on Switch has been removed from the internet once again. For now, Red Dead Redemption 2 remains exclusive to PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
