The Red Bull Hardline Australia will be the main event of the 5-day mountain bike festival at Tasmania’s famous Madena Bike Park.

None other than Red Bull Hardline founder and track builder Don Atherton would transform Madena’s mountain slopes, known for their steep and rugged terrain, into a track that lives up to Hardline ethos.

For the past 10 years, the elder of the two Atherton brothers, the mastermind behind the design of the Red Bull Hardline track, has been pushing the boundaries of the sport every year. He is already planning the new Red Bull Hardline course at Madena to create a unique course with huge jumps that will challenge the riders both physically and mentally. In addition to the big winds, there will also be high-tech sections where pinpoint accuracy at very high speeds is critical.

“Ten years ago we never would have imagined that Red Bull Hardline would be where it is now. It’s been really inspiring to see the sport grow,” says Atherton. “In the first few years, the riders had to step out of their comfort zone to stray from the typical World Cup routes.”

“As part of this development, we have decided to host the world’s first satellite event in Tasmania. Tasmania is a great location that offers everything you need to build a long, fast track. The Red Bull Hardline.”
