Princess Kate sparkles in a Zara skirt for 23 francs

Style doesn’t have to be expensive, Princess Kate knows that too. Even for the BAFTA Awards Kate on Zara earrings. Now the royal double yet. On a visit to Wales, the 41-year-old wears another piece from the Spanish fashion chain.

Luxury meets fast fashion

According to fashion blogger Royalfashionpolice, Kate’s houndstooth midi skirt is a bargain. The skirt is said to come from last season’s Zara collection and cost the equivalent of around 23 francs. This also makes users exclaim: “I have exactly that skirt!” says one fan.

Princess Kate pairs a bag by Mulberry, the mother-of-three’s favorite label, with a bargain skirt. Black shoes from the Italian label Gianvito Rossi, a white coat and a white turtleneck complete the look.

Greetings to Diana?

Kate seems to be flirting with the houndstooth style at the moment. For their visit to the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, the King wears a coat with the pattern, but in red.

The red coat is reminiscent of a similar jacket worn by Princess Diana at Princess Eugenie’s christening in 1990. Remarkably: Diana was also wearing a checkered skirt at the time, but in black and white.

Is Kate’s latest look inspired by Diana’s wardrobe again? Not only does the skirt seem to be a nod towards Diana, but the women seem to have similar taste when it comes to black gloves.
