The Princess of Wales could soon be back in the spotlight. Earlier this year, Kate, 42, withdrew from the public eye to battle cancer. Now there could be another mini-comeback.
Now there are rumors that Prince William's wife may appear at the Wimbledon tennis tournament. As patron of the All England Tennis and Croquet Club, she is a regular guest at the prestigious tournament. Traditionally, Kate presents prizes to the winners.
Royal expert Emily Andrews has now expressed her conviction to Grazia: “Her treatment is ongoing and will continue over the next few months. “But I think she would like to attend Wimbledon – she is the sponsor – if she feels well,” Andrews said.
Andrews added that Kate naturally has “good days and bad days” during her cancer treatment. Despite speculation surrounding Kate's appearance at Wimbledon, there has been no official confirmation yet.
All England Club president Deborah Jevans recently commented on the rumours, saying: “Our priority is that our patron has enough time to recover and we certainly will not put pressure on her recovery by speculating on whether she will take part in this year's tournament.”
It is still unclear who will present the awards if Kate is unable to attend. The palace has not yet commented on the possibility of Princess Kate taking part.
