Princess Charlene of Monaco has been in South Africa for several months for medical treatment. Now she wants to continue her recovery with her family.

Princess Charlene of Monaco has returned to the city-state after nearly four months of medical treatment.

On Saturday, the Prince’s Palace announced that she will now continue to relax in Monaco alongside her husband, Prince Albert II, and their children. When she returned, Charlene happily reunited with her family. In the coming weeks, the princess must fully recover before she gradually takes over her official duties.

At the beginning of November, the 44-year-old princess returned to Monaco after months in her native South Africa. Shortly thereafter, she came to a clinic outside the emirate for treatment. The reason given by the prince’s palace was a state of general exhaustion. Albert II said in an interview that she was experiencing physical and emotional exhaustion. The Monaco Palace also reported dental problems.

Charlene originally traveled to South Africa to support the fight against rhino poaching. A short time later, local media reported that the oral surgery performed before her trip had delayed her return to Europe.
