Negative headlines about the British royal family are not diminishing. The last scandal: The foundations of Prince Charles (73) were said to have been knighted in exchange for a donation of one million. According to the “Sunday Times”, Saudi billionaire Mahfouz Marei Mubarak bin Mahfouz, 51, is said to have put more than 1.5 million pounds (about 1.83 million Swiss francs) into various institutions of the royal family. In contrast, Royal Officer Michael Fawcett (59) was said to have secured Mahfouz Merhi Mubarak bin Mahfouz being given the title of ‘Commander’ by Charles in 2016.
Fawcett has since been relieved of his duties. An independent investigation confirmed that the donations weren’t just good intentions. It is also said that Fawcett distributed the donations to various institutions so that the sums would not attract attention. However, Prince Charles shouldn’t have known about the exchange, the palace confirms.
Harry had ‘concerns about motives’
But Charles is not the only king who met Mahfouz Marei Mubarak bin Mahfouz. Prince Harry, 37, is also said to have had several meetings with the billionaire. It is also said that more than 100,000 pounds (about 122,000 francs) flowed into its foundations. So Prince Harry made a statement through his spokesperson – stabbing his father in the back. Because, according to Harry, he was already “worried about the motives” of Ben Mahfouz in 2015. That’s why he retired after meeting the billionaire. And not only that: Harry even “relayed” his fears. However, it is still not clear in the statement to whom.

But the message is clear. While Harry refused to accept bribes, and even warned his father, Prince Charles and his foundations fell into her hands anyway.
