Microsoft Power Toys 0.55.0 adds three new tools to the suite, including the Mouse Utility.

PowerToys new version 0.55.0 for Windows 10/11 download.
The number of utilities increases with a total of three assistants. The main addition is a new Mouse Tool in the Mouse Tools category. There are also two new add-ons for File Explorer: “Enable STL Thumbnails” and “Enable Previews for Developer Files”.

Activate the Crosshairs function in Powertoys from 0.55.0
The new “Cross Lines” function of the mouse pointer can be activated in Mouse Utilities. A crosshair, centered around the mouse pointer, is displayed on the screen. By default, the function is activated using the keyboard shortcut “Ctrl + Alt + P”. However, users can change the keyboard shortcut, as well as display crosshairs. The job was developed by the Microsoft Accessibility team. The functionality should allow users with visual impairments to find the mouse pointer on the screen more easily and quickly.

Roadmap for the following Powertoys releases: Version 0.56 is likely to follow in February, when the conversion of the software code to .NET 6 will be completed.
