PGA Senior Championship: Brier goes 33rd to the US Finals – Sports Mix

Austria’s one-time European Tour winner is currently working in the PGA Seniors Championship.

Marcus Briere, the 2006 Austrian Open champion at the Fontana Club and the 2007 China Open champion, is showing strong performances in Oklahoma. The 52-year-old Vienna cutout for the weekend with rounds of 70 and 74 (+4).

On Transfer Day, Brier at Southern Hills CC in Tulsa, Oklahoma, missed a major ranking improvement due to Beach Ball and the subsequent Triple Ghost.

With a score of 72 (+2), Brier is 33 (+6) after three laps. On the final day, the Austrian is hoping to take a lap below the tournament level and improve on the top 20.

American Steve Stricker (69-68-67) led by six strikes on an equal footing before German Alex Sica (67-70-68), who recovered with one stroke. First half leader Mike Weir (Canada / -3) takes three strikes behind the leaders in third place.
