The slope holds: Saturday’s giant slalom should go ahead as planned.
The conditions aren’t ideal, but that should in no way detract from the Alpine Ski Festival in Adelboden – and it certainly won’t stop it. For a long time, it was not clear if the giant slalom could take place in Chuenisbärgli on Saturday. Now confirmed: Yes, he can. And yes, it does run on the original track.
Therefore drivers must give full throttle to the end zone. On Thursday, the debate continues over whether the penultimate median time should be considered the final mark.
Thanks to the slightly cooler temperatures, especially at night, the final slope will be tolerable for serious combat. Ski area manager Tony Harry had already shown himself “more and more confident” on Friday afternoon, and in the evening the final confirmation of the ski festival in Adelboden followed.
